He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and was awarded the grand prize at the 2nd Moscow International Competition for Young Flutists. He has performed as a guest musician with the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra, and others. Since 2006, he has been the principal flutist of the Russian National Orchestra.

A leading performer, educator and practitioner of the Dizi. She has performed traditional Chinese music with orchestras worldwide including the New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra and Bamberg Symphony. In the year 2000, she performed on the soundtrack of the Chinese martial arts film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon which went on to win multiple awards for its musical score.

In 2022, she won first place in both Dizi and Xiao in the professional youth group of the 'Magnolia' International Music Festival Traditional Chinese Music Competition.
